Your Household Just Got Smarter! Meet Max, the New AI-powered Smartest Member of Your Family

Max, the Newest Trifo Home Surveillance Robot Vacuum, Sees, Listens and Speaks as He Cleans

IFA 2019, BERLIN, Sept. 4, 2019 – Trifo®, dedicated to creating home robots that help people achieve a better balance of family, work and personal life, today announced Max, its newest, smartest and most powerful home surveillance robot vacuum to date.

To meet Max and get a demo, visit Trifo at IFA 2019, September 4-11, Hall 11.1, Reseller Park, Booth 112.

“We have designed Max with advanced home surveillance features including motion, audio and human detection to protect peoples’ homes. And, his advanced vision system lets him map the most efficient cleaning route,” said Zhe Zhang, Trifo’s Founder and CEO. “Max can communicate with his family whether they are at home or away, through the Trifo Home App.”

Recent market research demonstrates the potential for AI-powered smart home robots. Statista estimates shipments of home robot market will grow to 29.6 billion units by 2025. The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) ) predicts the household personal service robots market will reach $11 billion by 2020.

Max brings many smart capabilities to his family:

  • AI-powered Surveillance – Max can patrol his home at scheduled times and inform the family about movement, people and unusual sounds. The family can set up alert notifications and trigger automatic video recording. In one scenario, when family members get notified of a possible break-in, they can switch on the camera, see what’s going on. Because Max’s charging port is at his back where he connects to the charging station, he can watch the house even while he’s charging.
  • Powerful Cleaning – Max’s optimized vacuum fan creates 3,000 Pa of suction. His larger main brush and six-claw side brush reach deep into corners. His larger dustbin and washable primary filter make Max easy to maintain.
  • Advanced Intelligent Vision – His TIRVS (Trifo Intelligent Robotics Vision System), a combination of proprietary algorithms and the latest sensing, perception and decision-making technology ensures Max always knows where he is, decides the most efficient cleaning route, avoids obstacles and creates a map of his route to repeat on later cleaning trips.
  • Trifo Home App – Max’s family can control him from anywhere. They can program him remotely to schedule cleaning, whether they’re home or not. The family can see where he’s cleaned through the map he builds as he works. The app is available at the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Innovative Human-Robot Interaction – Max lets his family interact with him in lots of ways. He is Alexa-enabled and family at home can control him using voice commands, such as, “Alexa, turn on Trifo.” Out of the home, the family can speak and listen to other family members, pets or even intruders through Max’s speaker and mic that connect to the Trifo Home App.
  • … And More – Max’s 5,200 mAh battery keeps him going up to 120 minutes and he offers his family a USB charger so he can charge their devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cleaning

Does this robot vacuum cleaner work in the dark?

Yes, it can work in a dark environment. However, sufficient light will enable the robot to make the best of Trifo Intelligent Robotics Vision System (TIRVS) to clean your house more efficiently.

How do I operate it to clean all my rooms? And how does it know where to go?

Just press the power button and the robot vacuum will find its way and clean all your rooms on its own. It is capable of smart visual navigation, thereby able to design a zig-zag cleaning route with knowing where it has serviced. You can check your robot vacuum mapping the room on the app.

How well does it clean along edges? Is there a separate edge function?

It has two side brushes specifically to get stuff of the edges.

How does it work in a large house that might have several couches, dining room and other tables, and other furniture?

The robot vacuum is very thin, around 2.91 inches tall. As long as the furniture has sufficient height above the floor, the smart vacuum robot will clean the area underneath.

Can the robot vacuum mapping be used in a two-story house?

Yes, but the robot can’t climb stairs, so you have to carry it up and move it to a different floor.

We have hard wood floors and carpet. Will the vacuum work on both surfaces?

Yes, the robot works for both although we suggest you avoid long-pile carpets.

Does the robot vacuum cleaner work well on tiled floors?

Yes, the robot is suitable for most floor types, including hardwood, carpet and tiled floors.

Does it damage laminate floors?

No, the robot works great on them.

Does they work well on medium pile carpets?

Yes, the robot works well on medium pile carpets.

Does the robot vacuum work well moving back and forth between hardwood and carpet floors?

Sure, it does great cleaning on both surfaces. The corners of lighter rugs may get turned up, but heavier ones will be fine.

Does this robot cleaner pick up sand?

Yes, it can pick up sand but not to a large amount otherwise it may damage the vacuum robot. However, it does a very good job at picking up dust and pet hair.

How does it do with wood chips and ash?

We don’t suggest it should pick up wood chips and ashes. There is the potential to damage the robot. It does really well with dust, cotton, wool, hair, etc.

Does the m6 have the option for wet mopping?

No, the Ironpie m6 cannot be used for wet mopping. The Ironpie m6+ vacuum-mop combo cleaner is for you.

Can it resume where it left off after recharging?

Yes, you can switch on thi function under “Settings” in the app.

Can this smart robot vacuum go into different rooms by itself?

If doors are open, yes. The smart navigation enables the robot vacuum to automatically go into other rooms, and its slim design can facilitate cleaning under furniture.

Do I have to set up boundaries for this vacuum?

If you don’t have a door or only want to clean specific area, you need to use boundaries to ensure the robot vacuum remains in a certain area.

How do I edit the map in the app to set up barriers / no-go zones?

This function is not supported by the current version; however, the Ironpie m6 comes with powerful localization, mapping and exploration system so you can trust it to design the best route for you. If you want to set up no-go zones, we suggest you close the door or block off access to those areas with physical barriers.

Is there a way to stop my robot vacuum from going into a different room without a door or obstacle?

You can use a barricade to stop the robot vacuum from going into a different room.

Does it actually clean everywhere or do you have to position it and guide it through an entire room?

It is a robot vacuum with smart navigating. It knows where it is and where it has cleaned. As long as there are no obstructions on the path, it will clean everywhere it goes on its own, on both hardwood floors and carpet.
